The FOT-Net project aims to gather European and international stakeholders to present results of Field Operational Tests (FOTs) and to promote a common approach for FOTs- the FESTA methodology. FOT-Net is a Specific Support Action funded by the European Commission DG Information Society and Media under the Seventh Framework Programme.

The objective of the collaborative project ID4EV - Intelligent Dynamics for fully Electric Vehicles - is to develop energy efficient and safe brake and chassis systems for the need of fully electric vehicles. ID4EV targets the improvement of active safety for a faster introduction of fully electric vehicles (FEV).

HAVEit is a European research project aiming at the realisation of the long-term vision of highly automated driving for intelligent transport. The project will develop, validate and demonstrate important intermediate steps towards highly automated driving.

The Integrated Project PReVENT was a European automotive industry activity co-funded by the European Commission. It is the predecessor project to interactIVe and contributed to road safety by developing and demonstrating preventive safety applications and technologies.

The eCoMove project will create an integrated solution for road transport energy efficiency by developing systems and tools to help drivers sustainably eliminate unnecessary fuel consumption (and thus CO2 emissions), and to help road operators manage traffic in the most energy-efficient way. By applying this combination of cooperative systems using vehicle-infrastructure communication, the project aims to reduce fuel consumption by 20% overall.

The INTERSAFE-2 project aims to develop and demonstrate a Cooperative Intersection Safety System (CISS) that is able to significantly reduce injury and fatal accidents at intersections. The novel CISS combines warning and intervention functions demonstrated on three vehicles: two passenger cars and one heavy goods vehicle. Furthermore, a simulator is used for additional research.

The main focus of the European research project Testing and Evaluation Methods for ICT-based Safety Systems (eVALUE) is to define objective methods for the assessment of active safety systems. These methods are based on relevant traffic scenarios that, according to investigated statistics and databases, represent the majority of accidents, where active safety systems can come into effect.
