project structure: organised to realise research and development

interactIVe is composed of seven sub-projects.

Three sub-projects address the specification, design, and realisation of interactIVe applications. They analyse the use cases, define requirements and develop the interactIVe applications.

Later on, the relevant components, such as sensors, software modules, algorithms and hardware devices are integrated and implemented into seven demonstrator vehicles by the sub-projects SECONDS, INCA, and EMIC.

SECONDS

Safety enhancement through continuous driver support

INCA

Integrated collision avoidance and vehicle path control

EMIC

Cost-efficient emergency intervention for collision mitigation

The other four sub-projects are of a horizontal nature and deal with technical and methodological aspects common for all applications. They provide knowledge, guidelines and design solutions in the following areas:

Perception

Information, Warning and Intervention (IWI) strategies

Evaluation and legal aspects
